As you're probably aware, cotton is a natural fibre that comes from the cotton plant and grows commonly all over the world. It is a renewable and eco-friendly material that is easy to clean and maintain. Compared to wool, it is a less durable material due to its softer fibres and therefore, cannot take the pounding that wool rugs can. • Machine wash the rug (capacity 16 lbs or more) separately using a delicate cycle at a maximum of 86 °F.
• Avoid washing machines with center agitators, as they may damage the rug
• Use a mild detergent; do not use softeners or bleach
• Select a low spin speed if the rug has braids, fringes, or pom poms
• Remove the rug promptly to prevent color bleeding or staining
• Tumble dry on low heat; avoid drying in direct sunlight
• Vacuum regularly with low-power suction and a high-pile setting; avoid beater bars and rotating accessories
• Trim any long or loose yarns with scissors; do not pull them
