This product is made from mostly natural fibers that are durable and easy to care for. It contains no harmful adhesives, backings or chemical treatments (e.g. PFAS, phthalates, formaldehyde), making it a healthier choice than many mass-produced rugs. It is dyed using AZO free or natural dyes, offering a safer, more eco-conscious option for your home. To make this product rigid, however, the natural fibers have been blended with recycled PET yarn, which is a synthetic fiber. Synthetic fibers are known for emitting microplastics and is something to be aware of in creating spaces for young children or where one may have special sensitivities. We consider this a good step toward safer, more sustainable living. This product is also made in a verified facility where no unethical manufacturing practises were used.

About the Material

Made with Cotton

As you're probably aware, cotton is a natural fibre that comes from the cotton plant and grows commonly all over the world. It is a renewable and eco-friendly material that is easy to clean and maintain. Compared to wool, it is a less durable material due to its softer fibres and therefore, cannot take the pounding that wool rugs can. However, cotton rugs do offer an unparalleled feeling of softness, comfort and warmth.

Care Instructions

• Basket: Do not wash in washing machine. To remove stains, we recommend to use lukewarm water and a gentle soap.
• Cushion: Wash separately at 30 degrees maximum. Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent without bleach. Select low centrifuge speed to protect the handmade details
• Tumble dry at low temperature. Do not leave the wet cushion inside the washing machine.
• Avoid continuous exposure to the sun.
