What is a sustainable rug? To us, it means a well-designed, high quality, handcrafted rug that can live in your home for well past 5 years. Synthetic rugs hit the landfill within 2 to 4 years of usage because they are not designed to last. Often times, they cannot be washed and once the chemical "protective" coating wears off, the colours fade rapidly and the rug starts to look dull and boring. And have we mentioned all the chemical dyes that are emitting airborne toxins into the air that you and your family breath?

Our Sustainable Rugs are made from all natural materials and non-toxic dyes. And since they are machine washable, you don't have to worry about stains and spills. In fact, our customers tell us that each time they wash their cotton or wool rug in the washing machine, it comes out all nice and fluffy - like it was brand new again! This is how our rugs don't end up in landfill and why our customers feel it is well worth the investment.
