This product is made from mostly natural fibers that are durable and easy to care for. It contains no harmful adhesives, backings or chemical treatments (e.g. PFAS, phthalates, formaldehyde), making it a healthier choice than many mass-produced rugs. It is dyed using AZO free or natural dyes, offering a safer, more eco-conscious option for your home. To make this product rigid, however, the natural fibers have been blended with recycled PET yarn, which is a synthetic fiber. Synthetic fibers are known for emitting microplastics and is something to be aware of in creating spaces for young children or where one may have special sensitivities. Their designers work side by side with 120 artisans who take care of every detail in an elaborate handmade process. As you're probably aware, cotton is a natural fibre that comes from the cotton plant and grows commonly all over the world.
