When you see a GoodWeave label on a rug, it means that the rug was produced in an environment where no child, forced or bonded labour was allowed. Child labour and unethical work practices today are at astonishingly high numbers in areas such as India, Nepal and Afghanistan. GoodWeave takes a holistic approach to ending child labour by working with factories to resolve issues, improve transparency and provide education to both children and adults. We ordered a rug online and made an error in the order. Sandy was fantastic helping us correct it so that we got the right order in on time for Canadian shipping. We're happy with the rug, but the service was beyond our expectations!
My indecisive self searched for months for the right rug for my firstborn's new room in our new apartment. I finally found exactly the vibe I was looking for at Rugs by Roo--literally the entire curated selection--and the price and customer service was spot on. Thank you for bringing together special things. It's amazing how rare that is to find when trying to decorate.
I was quoted double what I paid for the exact same rug through retail stores. I found d it on Rugs by Roo, couldn’t believe the price difference. It showed up at my door in perfect condition and in less than two weeks or ordering. I’m super happy and would purchase through them again in a heartbeat.
We were looking for non toxic rugs for our baby to safely and comfortably crawl around on. We wanted to create a healthy indoor air environment with safe furniture and came across these selections from Rugs by Roo. As a first time rug buyer, I loved that each rug on the site has an explanation on the safety of materials and how to care for it. We ended up purchasing the fab habitat Kilimanjaro runner and the Lorena Canals Almond Valley Wool Washable Area Rug. They are both beautiful for different reasons. I’m so impressed with the quality and how stunning these are in person. The area rug is especially lovely and perfectly sized for our NYC apt. It’s soft, and is just stunning. It’s folds up neatly and comes with a nice storage bag, perfect for our next move. This piece really transforms a space. I’ve already gotten compliments on video phone calls and can’t wait for people to see them in person. It’s odd to use this description but the Lorena Canals rug is simultaneously light-weight, yet, has some weight to it. The wool is very soft and feels great to step on. I’m sure this would look great on any floor but although it’s subtle, the brown undertone really pulls everything together and compliments my light-wood flooring.
After a shipping mixup, customer service was really responsive and even personally called to explain the situation, and then followed up to make sure everything had been delivered to my satisfaction.
I’m so happy to have found affordable, comfortable, and most importantly, non-toxic rugs for my little one to play on. I’m very happy with my purchases.
I am slowly replacing all the rugs in my house with rugs from this company. I just received my third area rug, The OH Happy Home Washable Black And White Rug, and I am in love. Seriously it's a game changer for the kid's climbing room. I have 3 small children. Every time there's another big mess on one of these rugs I'm thankful for the washability especially being that every rug is white or off-white. Plus they're super comfy underfoot or under bums as we do so much sitting and playing on the floor. I'd give these rugs 10 stars if I could. Thanks Roo!
This rug is super soft to the touch and feels great under the feet when combined with a rug pad. I was skeptical about the quality when it arrived folded up in a box instead of rolled up like typical rugs, but I'm happy with the purchase.
My shipment was delayed but Rugs by Roo kept in contact and offered a refund. I love the rug I purchased at a great price. Highly recommend this company!!
Love the rug. It's well-made, good quality, soft, and washable. Looks great in my daughter's room, and she loves it.
I would highly recommend Rugs by Roo!! As a Canadian, I would prefer to buy local and avoid any over the border extra fees or delays on shipping. But I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase from Rugs by Roo and will definitely be purchasing from them again. Great communication through emails, clear prices in Canadian currency, arrived faster than expected, ethically sourced and made. I absolutely love my Lorena Canals rug for our baby girl’s nursery! Also, feels good to support this small business! Thank You!
I have purchased a rug for my second granddaughter that had a cheerful daisy theme. The rug has since been washed, rolled on, crawled over, investigated, and now walked on for close to two years now. It looks brand new. My third granddaughter is about to make her way into the world to a cozy woodland themed room. I immediately went straight to the Roo website to buy her rug. It looks amazing. I know she will enjoy it for years to come. Thank you for helping to create a safe and beautiful first room for my granddaughters.
Not only cute and stylish but also sustainable and conscientious products! Love the items for nursery...lots of great items!!!
I was excited when I saw the package arrive at my door, I was even more excited when it was unpacked! The quality is incredible, the look simply fantastic. The rug is lightweight and will fit in the washing machine without a problem. My husband asked me to change the other rugs in the house when he saw the one we ordered from Rugs by Roo, can you imagine! Very satisfied with the delivery time in Quebec, Canada and the follow-ups by email. At first, I was afraid to buy from a website I didn't know in the US. Finally, what a great discovery.
I received my Lorena Canals rug today and it’s exactly what I expected, beauty and quality!
You won’t regret your buy!
Love this rug. The colors are so vibrant! Perfect for the patio. Timely shipping and good status updates.
The heart shaped rugs are a perfect addition to my daughter’s room. They are so soft and comfy. She loves them.
I have three kids. I also run an online business from home. The assumption is that I am the primary attender to my kids and that my business is secondary. I should always prioritize my kids over work and if I do need to work, then that's more of an exception than the norm. But here's the thing. I LOVE my work!

As I’ve been on my own healthy house journey, I have learned so much and I’ve come to appreciate businesses that are owned and run with our health and our world’s health in mind. Rugs by Roo is just that type of company, which is why I absolutely adore them.
My mom was born in Hong Kong in July of 1945. Post WWII, life was a struggle because most families had lost everything during the war. Everyone was focused on rebuilding and establishing a new way of living with very limited resources. My mom was one out of four children and there was no money for school.
