Cleaning & Care Instructions

- Wash separately at 30 degrees maximum
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent without bleach
- Tumble dry at low temperature. Do not leave the wet rug inside the washing machine
- Avoid continuous exposure to the sun

- Sweep the rug with a stiff broom and use a vacuum cleaner regularly

Wow, I found this company by doing a search for washable, chemical-free rugs. I had no idea what to expect and WOW was I surprised. This rug is soft, has no smell at all straight out of the package, is clearly very well made, and is machine washable. It has a nice thickness and is tightly woven. The colors are true to the photos. My baby can lay on this and rub her face all over it without my worrying. I bought this to replace a rug from another popular website that touts its machine washability, but that other rug arrived with a warning label stating it is known to the state of California to contain cancer causing materials. That other rug smelled so horrible, I didn't even remove it from the box. This new cotton rug from Rugs by Roo is the answer I was seeking - soft under foot, soft coloring, washable, no off-gassing, and a great price point. I'm now looking to replace my living room rug with one from this company. I was a little nervous buying from a site I'd never heard of, but I'm so happy I gave them a chance. Their customer service is also great, they emailed me multiple times to let me know they received the order and when it shipped out to me, etc.
