RugCycled® brings back some of Lorena Canals' most iconic designs with a renovated raw style provided by the all-natural finish of undyed cotton combined with recycled yarn. To make this collection, leftover production fabric is shredded into fibers and then spun into recycled yarn that is used to make the rugs' canvas bases. The designs are then tufted on top of the canvas in natural, undyed cotton, creating a soft and plush surface. Each rug design is outlined by revealing bare areas of the canvas and creating a debossed effect

The pattern is created through the contrast of pile and non-pile, leaving the canvas slightly visible. The rug finishes off with a row of 7 cm long fringes in natural colour at the edges.

About 100% Cotton
As you're probably aware, cotton is a natural fibre that comes from the cotton plant and grows commonly all over the world. It is a renewable and eco-friendly material that is easy to clean and maintain. Compared to wool, it is a less durable material due to its softer fibres and therefore, cannot take the pounding that wool rugs can. However, cotton rugs do offer an unparalleled feeling of softness, comfort and warmth. And cotton bares one important quality that wool rugs cannot offer. It is completely machine washable!
Care Instructions for Cotton Rugs
- Wash separately at 30 degrees maximum (capacity 6kg for XS and S; 9kg for M)
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent without bleach
- Tumble dry at low temperature. Do not leave the wet rug inside the washing machine as colours may run or stain
- Avoid continuous exposure to the sun
- Do not worry if lint appears as this is residue fibres produced during cutting
- During the first few days, sweep the rug with a stiff broom in the direction of the plush
- Use a vacuum cleaner regularly. We do not recommend the use of robot vacuum cleaners
- If you find a long or loose threads, cut it with scissors. Never pull it
- Keep away from fire
- Enjoy the rug and let your kids get messy!
