This product is made from mostly natural fibers that are durable and easy to care for. It contains no harmful adhesives, backings or chemical treatments (e.g. PFAS, phthalates, formaldehyde), making it a healthier choice than many mass-produced rugs. It is dyed using AZO free or natural dyes, offering a safer, more eco-conscious option for your home. To make this product rigid, however, the natural fibers have been blended with recycled PET yarn, which is a synthetic fiber. Synthetic fibers are known for emitting microplastics and is something to be aware of in creating spaces for young children or where one may have special sensitivities. About the Material

Recycled PET

Polyester from recycled PET is made of the highest quality recycled polyester yarn obtained from plastic bottles and other plastic waste collected from the oceans. This sustainable fabric has the same qualities of strength and durability as conventional polyester, mainly intended for manufacturing durable accessories and garments such as bags, covers or aprons, and now used in these baskets' composition.
